- Due end of day, Monday, January 9--Respond in 2-3 paragraphs to Saving Face. As with the previous blog: a) bring Takaki to the film; b) bring another piece of CA literature we've read to this film; c) bring a CRT tenet to part of the film.
- Due end of day Tuesday, January 10--Respond to Picture Bride by bringing a) Takaki to the film; b) bringing another piece of JA literature we've read to the film; and c) bring a CRT tenet to a scene in the film.
- Due end of day Wednesday, January 11--Respond to my mother's letters (Amy Morooka) by bringing a) Takaki to the letters; b) bringing another piece of JA literature to the letters.
- Due end of day Friday, January 13--As an extension of your "culture of one" post, make sure you have contacted a family member (parent, grandparent, uncle/aunt) who knows a lot about your family's history. In your blog, tell a story of immigration, migration (from another part of the U.S.), or just the furthest back story you can get.
- Due end of day Monday, January 23--This is an extension of your "culture of one" post, I hope. In your post, talk about 1 piece of literature, one historical piece that you've connected to, and explain why.
